Kate, the Princess of Wales, will be in the hospital for the next ten to 14 days. Kensington Palace said she is recovering from a planned abdominal surgery. The statement didn't provide any other specifics about the reason for the surgery. Kensington Palace said the surgery was successful. However, it noted that Kate is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.

And announced on the same day: King Charles III will be treated for an enlarged prostate next week. Buckingham Palace said his condition is benign and the trip to the hospital is for a "corrective procedure." The palace added that the king's public engagements will be postponed for a short time while he recovers. It also noted that the 75-year-old sought the treatment "in common with thousands of men each year."
