A Port Orchard food bank is asking for the public's help after 20-thousand pounds of food for the needy was ruined by flooding. The South Kitsap Helpline food bank supports about 400 households every week, but that number has gone up recently as pandemic assistance has phased out. That, and the fact that December is normally a busier month, means that losing that food puts them and their recipients in a tough spot. They're fundraising in hopes of raising money for a new building to store food in. They're also asking for monetary donations and dry food donations. Donate here - Thank you!
