Off-duty Alaska Pilot Tries To Shut Down Engines On Flight From Everett

A flight from Paine Field in Everett to San Francisco was diverted to Portland Sunday night after an off-duty Alaska Airlines pilot attempted to shut down the Horizon Air passenger jet's engines in the cockpit. The pilots had to wrestle him out of the cockpit and the off duty fellow was taken to the back of the plane. The plane made an emergency landing in Portland where the man was arrested.
