A few months after letting it slip that an unreleased song with Freddie Mercury had been rediscovered, Queen unveiled the long-lost track, "Face It Alone," on Thursday morning.
Brian May and Roger Taylor first mentioned the song's existence in June, during a BBC radio interview surrounding their appearance at the Royal Jubilee concert.
Taylor referred to "Face It Alone" as "a little gem from Freddie that we'd kind of forgotten about."
May added that the song is "beautiful" and "touching," especially considering what Freddie was going through with his health during the making of 1988's The Miracle.
May later added via a press release: "I'm happy that our team were able to find this track. After all these years, it's great to hear all four of us ... yes, Deacy is there too ... working in the studio on a great song idea which never quite got completed ... until now!"
"Face It Alone" is available now to stream, download and buy in the form of a 7" vinyl record. The song will also be included on Queen's The Miracle Collector's Edition, arriving November 18.
The Miracle box set includes about an hours-worth of previously unreleased recordings.
