The Seahawks had more cuts to make than ever before on the Saturday after the final preseason game.
Instead of moving from 75 players to 53 to start the year, the Seahawks had to trim all the way from 90 down to 53 by 1 p.m. PT.
But the Seahawks made the 37 moves necessary to get their roster set for the start of the regular season. That's with a huge caveat that nothing about the roster is truly final. It can, and will, change frequently throughout the season. Nearly 1,200 players just hit the market across the league. Expect rosters across the league to look far different than they do after today.
The most notable moves the Seahawks made were waiving receiver Kasen Williams, quarterback Trevone Boykin and cornerback Pierre Desir. The team also released veteran defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin, linebacker Mike Morgan and fullback Marcel Reece.
