Happy National Cheeseburger Day! 82% of Americans say they love them. McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's are all running deals where you can get a burger for free, or close to free.
A poll for it found 82% of us love cheeseburgers, and American cheese is the top choice. It just edged out cheddar for the top spot, followed by Swiss, pepper jack, and provolone is a distant fifth.
The big hitters have some pretty solid deals this year. Here are a few places you can get a burger for free, or close to free.
1. McDonald's has 50-cent Double Cheeseburgers through their app.
2. Wendy's is selling Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers for a penny with any purchase through Sunday.
3. Burger King rewards members can get a free cheeseburger if they spend $1.
4. Dairy Queen has free double cheeseburgers through their app if you spend a buck. That deal also runs through Sunday.
5. Buffalo Wild Wings has a buy-one-get-one deal for loyalty members.
