Sometimes, even the most seemingly pointless records must be respected. Max Park is well known in competitive Rubik’s Cube-solving circles as a “speedcubing prodigy.” Earlier this year, the 21-year-old set the Guinness World Record with a solving time of 3.47 seconds…but now that record is toast. Park was able to break his own mark by 3.13 seconds. All hail the king!

Max broke the record at the Pride in Long Beach 2023 event in California on June 11th. More on the story here.
