A Seahawk fan favorite is fighting COVID-19 in the ICU in Yakima, WA.

Dr. Dan Doornink, who played seven seasons at running back with the Seahawks from 1979-1985, is fighting the virus even though he
is vaccinated. Doornink has an autoimmune disease making it harder to beat the virus.

Dan Doornink was not only played in the NFL in Washington, but made a name for himself at Washington State University. After he retired from a great NFL career, he got his M.D. at the University of Washington and has since then practiced as a Yakima physician.
