For over 125 years, YWCA Seattle/King/Snohomish has been committed to breaking down barriers to equity for women, girls, and their families. We are dedicated to ensuring that every woman in the region has the opportunity to build a safe, stable, healthy life of her choosing.
With 20 locations from Everett to Auburn, YWCA runs a network of community-based programs that support 10,000 people each year. Every day, YWCA works to make a difference in the most critical areas of people’s lives: housing, economic advancement, health and safety. For example:
• YWCA owns and operates nearly 900 units of housing and provides services for nearly 1,500 women experiencing homelessness at Angeline’s Day Center.
• YWCA helps workers build their skills through online employment classes, job training and internships, financial workshops, and career development centers that provide access to computers and other resources for 10,000 job seekers each year.
• YWCA helps low-income families access and navigate the healthcare system, and delivers one-on-one support for 1,400 survivors of gender-based violence.
