A Virginia woman picked the perfect day to buy 30 lottery tickets with the same combination of numbers. Deborah Brown told Virginia lottery officials that she had seen the numbers, 1-0-3-1, multiple times throughout the day decided to try her luck by buying tickets with those numbers.
She bought 20 tickets at a gas station, and then went back later in the day to buy an additional ten tickets. When she watched the drawing and realized she had won she couldn't believe it, telling lottery officials that she "nearly had a heart attack."
The odds of matching all four numbers is 1-in-10,000, and the lottery pays out $5,000 for each winning ticket. Because Brown had 30 tickets, she won a grand total of $150,000.
Brown said that she plans to use some of the money to do renovations on her home.
