Little Girl Captures Voice Of Dead Grandfather In Eerie Snapchat Video

Snapchat's logo is a ghost and that seems really appropriate thanks to a new video. In it, three-year-old Madelyne Jones has a harlequin filter over her face as she talks into the camera. She says "a cheeky little" and then pauses. At that point, a male voice clearly utters the word "monkey," then little Madelyn says "monkey." There isn't anything crazy about it except that Madelyne was alone when she recorded the video, and there were definitely no men in the house at that time.

Her mother, Katie Mercer, told the Mirror how she was "freaking out" after seeing the video because she recognized the voice as belonging to her father, Peter, who died of throat cancer more than two years earlier, when Madelyne was just five months old. When Katie's mom heard it, she immediately identified the voice as Peter's as well.

Katie stated, "It is a bit freaky but I really do believe it's him and it's so comforting to know he's with her and looking after her."

The 24-year-old mom shouldn't be too shook though - Madelyne has spoken to her about ghosts before. Katie has even caught her daughter having conversations in empty rooms, explaining, "It's not like she has an invisible friend. She actually stops as if she's listening to someone replying to her. When I've asked her what she's doing, she tells me she's playing with grandad."
