Those Airlifted Goats Are Very Close...

Guess who now lives in North Bend? Mountain goats.

You know they just got airlifted out of the Olympics? Very dramatic. That’s because they are not native there and more goats need to be in the Cascades, where they are native.

And now they live as close as Rattlesnake Ridge, which I just discovered this past summer -- have you been to that lake? Magnificent.

Then I took the hike, which is straight uphill. And no, I didn’t make it to the top, and, passing me by -- no, not mountain goats - but teenagers in flip flops…

Dammitall.
