Seattle council saves Showbox from demolition.
Yesterday, the Seattle City Council voted to temporarily expand the Pike Place Market Historical District to include the Showbox. It’s safe for 10 months while the city considers long-term ways to save the Showbox from being torn down to make room for a high rise apartment building.
