Wildlife Staffers Dress As Giant Foxes To Care For Orphaned Fox [VIDEO]

At a Virginia wildlife center, workers are dressing up as a mother fox to care for an orphaned red fox. Executive Director Melissa Stanley has gone viral with video showing her feeding the young fox while wearing a giant furry fox mask and gloves. The fox eagerly sucked down its milk while perched on a stuffed animal fox that resembled its mother.

Why go full Halloween costume to feed the fluffball? The video’s caption laid it out saying, “It’s important to make sure that the orphans that are raised in captivity do not become imprinted upon or habituated to humans.” The orphaned fox was found in an alley in Richmond and is now being cared for with the hope of eventually releasing it back into its natural habitat.
