The Iditarod is pretty gruesome! Yesterday musher Dallas Seavey won his sixth Iditarod - however his dog sled team got tangled up with a moose, one dog was hurt, and Seavey shot the moose.
The rule is if you shoot an animal in defense of your dogs, you have to gut it. Seavey got a two-hour penalty for not gutting the moose properly but he still finished first. Creepier news - 3 dogs died on other teams during the 1000-mile race.
