The Seattle Police Department is hosting a fundraiser for its horse unit. The department has launched its "Sponsor-A-Horse" fundraiser on Wednesday. SPD says the unit needs 50-thousand dollars to continue operations. The department has one of the few remaining mounted units in the Pacific Northwest and city funds no longer cover all the costs.
