HBCU Swingman Classic presented by T-Mobile

The inaugural event will gather baseball student-athletes from Division I programs at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), with the name fittingly recognizing Mariners icon Ken Griffey Jr. Powered by the MLB-MLBPA Youth Development Foundation, Swingman will highlight the history and legacy of HBCU baseball programs while also providing 50 HBCU baseball players with the opportunity to showcase their talent on a national stage. The student-athletes will be selected by a committee that will include Griffey and representatives from MLB and the MLBPA.

Capital One PLAY BALL PARK

Celebrate 2023 MLB All-Star Week in Seattle at Capital One PLAY BALL PARK! From Saturday, July 8 through Tuesday, July 11 at Lumen Field and the Lumen Field Event Center, fans can enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime indoor/outdoor experience, blending baseball, softball, music, food, the latest in VR technology, shopping, fashion and more! Plus, an all-time lineup of former Seattle baseball greats – including Edgar Martinez, Bret Boone and Mike Cameron – will attend to sign autographs, participate in clinics, lead demonstrations and pose for photos.

All-Star Futures Game

The brightest stars of tomorrow will take the field for the annual matchup of the game's top prospects that are nearing the Majors. Many of today's All-Stars made their first appearances on a Major League stage at the All-Star Futures Game.

2023 MLB Draft presented by Nike

As part of the Draft shifting back one month and being held in conjunction with the Midsummer Classic since 2021, the public can take part in watching in person. Opening night of the Draft will be set at Lumen Field inside PLAY BALL PARK on Sunday, July 9 at 4 p.m. PT, featuring the first two rounds, compensatory round(s) and competitive balance rounds. The new Draft location allows more fans than ever a chance to see their favorite teams select the next generation of stars.

All-Star Red Carpet Show presented by T-Mobile

Hours before taking the field for the Midsummer Classic at T-Mobile Park, All-Star players, coaching staffs and their families walk the All-Star Red Carpet Show presented by T-Mobile. For the 18th edition of the show this year, and first in Seattle, MLB set its sights on an iconic host location: Pike Place Market. From Pine Street to Pike Street the carpet will lead players through a crowd of select fans and media, with exclusive coverage on MLB Network.

The MLB All-Star Game

The MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard returns to Seattle for the first time in 22 years and only the third time ever. Now, a new generation of All-Stars are taking MLB to new heights with more on-field energy and excitement than ever before. Witness their unparalleled skill, athleticism and passion for the game on Tuesday, July 11, when the 93rd Midsummer Classic arrives at T-Mobile Park.

Also Happening Around Seattle

All-Star Drone Show

The MLB All-Star Drone Show takes off Sunday night, July 9, at Seattle Center after sunset. Six hundred lighted drones will create stunning baseball-themed visuals and iconic Seattle scenes 400 feet above ground, set to a soundtrack of baseball classics and summertime music. The show starts at 10 p.m. and is free to the public. Baseball fans, visitors, and Seattleites are all invited to watch from the International Fountain Lawn in the heart of Seattle Center. The 18-minute drone flight will take off from the Mural Amphitheater at Seattle Center and fly between 200 and 400 feet above ground, next to the Space Needle.

All-Star Movie Nights: Seattle Center

After the T-Mobile Home Run Derby at T-Mobile Park on Monday night, July 10, Seattle Center plays host to the first of two FREE baseball-themed movie nights starting just after sunset. With the Derby beginning at 5 p.m. PT, visitors and locals alike will have plenty of time to extend their baseball evenings into the night, as are all invited to watch The Sandlot at the Mural Amphitheater in the heart of Seattle Center.

The following night, after the All-Star Game presented by Mastercard on Tuesday, July 11, Seattle Center invites everyone to close out All-Star Week with another FREE baseball movie, A League of Their Own, back at the Mural Amphitheater starting just as the sun sets with a viewing party in the shadow of the Space Needle.
